Potassium Chloride is a free flowing white powdered substance which belongs to the class of metal halide with good solubility in water with a solubility rate of 339.7 grams per liters at a temperature of 20 degree Celsius to form K+ and Cl- ions. It is widely used in large number of applications in various industries which includes food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, laboratories, agricultural, construction and other. It is hygroscopic in nature and incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and strong acids. This powdered compound is insoluble in ether.
