This chemical remains colourless below the pH value of 8.5 and attains a pink to deep red hue colour when the value of the pH is above 9.0.Phenolphthalein Indicator (WHITE)has a chemical formula of C20H14O4 with a molecular weight of 318.328 grams per mol. The compound has a density of 1.277 grams per cubic centimetres at a temperature of 32 degree Celsius. It may cause genetic defects and may also results in cancer.
