2-Chloropropionic Acid

2-chloropropionic acid is offered with a pale fluid of slight odor. This is used to apply the protective lining as well as coating. This is denser than water, but the contact from eyes, skin, mucous membranes and eyes can be prevented. 2-chloropropionic acid is extensively used to manufacture other chemicals. This is suited in the preparation of propargyl 2-chloropropionate (PCP). 2-chloropropionic acid is the chemical compound of the formula CH₃CHClCO₂H.This is functional as the atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) initiator. This is utilized in the amalgamation of biologically active chitin derivative.
