Calcium Peroxide

Calcium peroxide has pale yellow appearance and it is free from odor. This inorganic substance has good stabilizing attributes. Its maximum moisture content is 2.0% and ph value ranges between 11 to 13. Its application can be noticed in aquaculture, food processing, environmental protection etc. Molar mass of this substance is 56.32. It tends to release oxygen in specific amount when exposed to hydrous media. Calcium peroxide easily dissolves in acid to produce hydrogen peroxide. It is insoluble in water. Its chemical properties remain unaffected at normal temperature. This chemical is used to formulate preservatives, bactericide, oil bleaching agent, etc.
